CM/ECF Registration and Training
Attorney Registration Information
Electronic filing of documents is mandatory in this court for attorneys and trustees.

To register for an attorney account, you must complete the following:
- Please read the court's Electronic Filing Procedures, general guidance regarding all aspects of e-filing.

Successfully complete the test exercises:
Access the Electronic Filing Manual. Click on "Getting Started" and then the "ECF Registration" topic to guide you through the test exercises. - Complete the ECF Attorney Registration Form. Save as a PDF document and e-mail to ecfhelp [at] nmcourt [dot] fed [dot] us.
Holders of an ECF account and other persons who want to view and print case records must register for a PACER account. In addition to the ECF e-filing account with this court, e-filers should also have a PACER account.
Limited User Registration Information
Filers of proofs of claim and other claim-related documents that are administrative in nature (not necessarily requiring review by the court) may register for an ECF limited-use account to file these documents electronically. E-mail the signed form as a PDF document to ecfhelp [at] nmcourt [dot] fed [dot] us .
Training
Online Training: The Electronic Filing Manual serves as online training and provides step-by-step instructions for filing bankruptcy cases, proofs of claim, and more.
In-person Training: The Clerk's Office periodically conducts Free CM/ECF training classes. Three types of classes are offered:
- training for attorneys who represent debtors,
- training for attorneys who represent creditors, and
- training for adversary cases.
The 2012 classes run from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm as follows:
- May 10 and 24
- June 7 and 21
- July 12 and 26
- August 9 and 23
- September 13 and 27
- October 11 and 25
- November 8 and 29
- December 6 and 20
To register for a class, send an e-mail to ecfhelp [at] nmcourt [dot] fed [dot] us. You must register. Do not show up at a training class without first having registered and received a registration confirmation.
All classes are conducted in the Clerk's Training Room, located in the Clerk's Office. The Clerk's Office is on the 10th floor of the Dennis Chavez Federal Building and United States Courthouse, 500 Gold Avenue SW, Albuquerque, NM.
