Scheduling Conferences, Status Conferences, and Pretrial Conferences in Adversary Proceedings before Judge Jacobvitz
Scheduling Conferences and Status Conferences in adversary proceedings ordinarily are conducted for Judge Jacobvitz by his courtroom deputy, Chris Wilson. Counsel and pro se parties may appear by telephone.
At the Scheduling Conference, pretrial deadlines will be scheduled that are set forth in the sample Order Resulting from Scheduling Conference posted on Judge Jacobvitz’s web page (and below).
The form of Pretrial Order to be used is also posted on Judge Jacobvitz’s web page (and below). The consolidated Pretrial Order should be ready to present to the Court by the time of the Status Conference. At the Status Conference, both the Pretrial Conference and trial on the merits will be scheduled.
Judge Jacobvitz will preside over the Pretrial Conference. The Pretrial Order will be entered following the Pretrial Conference. Trial counsel are expected to appear at the Pretrial Conference. Out-of town counsel may appear by telephone.
