Transcripts and Audio Recordings of Proceedings

Transcripts and audio recordings of proceedings can be ordered as follows, depending on the judge who heard the proceeding. Rates vary but may not exceed maximum charges set by the Judicial Conference of the United States.

For information on redacting personal data identifiers from an electronic transcript of a proceeding, please read the judiciary's privacy policy.   See also Bankruptcy Court Guidelines for Implementation of the Judicial Conference Policies on Electronic Availability and Redaction of Transcripts of Court Proceedings, May 2008.

Audio Recordings

You may order an audio recording (on compact disk) of a proceeding either

  • directly from the Clerk's Office for a $30.00 fee per audio file, or
  • if the presiding judge determines the audio recording will be uploaded to a docket entry in CM/ECF and available to the public via Internet access to the PACER system, the recording may be downloaded at any time via PACER for a $2.40 fee per audio file.

To order an audio recording, complete and submit the request form, along with the fee, to the Clerk's Office.

You may also listen to an audio recording for free from a computer in the Clerk's Office Viewing Room.
