2010-12: Reaffirmation Agreement Policy

Judge Starzynski and Judge Jacobvitz have issued a Policy Regarding Reaffirmation Agreements Where the Debtor has Counsel of Record. The policy, as it relates to counsel's responsibilities, will take effect on August 1, 2010. A copy of the policy is posted on each of the judge's websites. The judges will hold a brown bag presentation on the Policy Regarding Reaffirmation Agreements Where the Debtor has Counsel of Record on Friday, July 30, 2010 from noon to 1:00 p.m. in Judge Jacobvitz's Courtroom in Albuquerque. The presentation is sponsored by the Bankruptcy Section of the New Mexico State Bar. If you represent chapter 7 debtors in the District of New Mexico or other clients interested in the reaffirmation process, you are encouraged to attend.
