Submitting Proposed Orders

Submission of proposed orders via e-mail is mandatory. The following procedures apply.

  1. Attach the proposed order as an MS Word or Corel WordPerfect file to a transmittal e-mail. Orders submitted in other formats, such as PDF, RTF, or DAT, cannot be accepted.
  2. Include the bankruptcy or adversary case number in the subject line of the e-mail.
  3. Format the signature line of submitting attorney as in the following example:

  4. Format the approval of counsel as in the following example:

  5. Submit the proposed order to the appropriate judge:

    Judge Starzynski starzynski [at] nmcourt [dot] fed [dot] us (any number of orders may be submitted as attachments)
    Judge Jacobvitzjacobvitz [at] nmcourt [dot] fed [dot] us (one order per e-mail message).  Please also take notice of Judge Jacobvitz's Top Twenty Reasons Orders are Returned
